Criminal Justice Online - Respected, Regionally Accredited, & Asynchronous Northeastern University’s Online Masters in Criminal Justice Leadership offers a groundbreaking degree program. This graduate degree can be completed entirely online, with an exception of a one week workshop in Boston, MA. Granted Northeastern University is highly esteemed in the career and academic arenas, I’m sure you won’t mind a little respite in Boston – but then I could be wrong.

Northeastern University is offering the following courses for its online Master of Criminal Justice in Leadership degree program:

Foundation Courses

  • The Justice Seminar – this is the 1 week trip I was talking about
  • Criminal Justice Capstone
  • Criminological Theory for Criminal Justice Leaders
  • Legal Decision Making and Leadership
  • U.S. Policing in the 21st Century

You’ll also be required to take one of the following online courses – so choose wisely

  • Creating Leadership Capacity
  • Organizational Leadership Seminar

Operations Courses

  • Research Methods
  • Risk Management
  • Managing and Using Program Evaluations
  • GIS, Evidence-Based Learning, and Policy
  • Financial Management for Nonprofit Organizations

Elective Courses

  • Communities and Crime
  • Youth Justice and Crime
  • Models of Intelligence-led Policing
  • Law Enforcement Management and Planning

You’ll only be required to take only one of the aforementioned elective classes.

I am a strong proponent of education, especially when dealing with concepts of obtaining the right career and getting that long-awaited promotion. Northeastern University gets two thumbs up from me.
